This course is suitable for clinical EEG biofeedback practitioners of any disciplinary background (psychologists, physicians, nurses, teachers, etc.) who wish to improve their basic knowledge concerning this field. The course provides a review of basic knowledge and will cover topics from areas that comprise the blueprint of knowledge for specialty certification in EEG biofeedback developed by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. It is a helpful course whether or not a practitioner intends to take the BCIA examinations. For those who intend to take the BCIA exam the course will provide a sample of the domain of knowledge needed to perform well.

GETTING STARTED WITH NEUROFEEDBACK 4-DAY BCIA (EEG) ACCREDITED WORKSHOP

This workshop covers the foundation and rationale for neurofeedback. You will learn the history of neurotherapy and how it has evolved into present day clinical practice as well as the basics of assessment, treatment planning, and training with neurofeedback equipment. Attendees will be given an understanding of the electrical activity of the brain and how it influences cognition and behavior. Your learning experience will be enhanced by Powerpoint presentations, illustrations as well as hands-on experience. Workshop offers individualized training because classes are limited to 5-12 professionals.
